What is Distance Learning?

First, we will begin with long-distance learning. By way of definition, we could say that long-distance learning is simply the processes involved in studying online instead of attending educational lectures in person at a college or a university. Long-distance learning is also referred to as distance education.

Getting an online education is great for long-distance learning. A major benefit of this method of learning or education is diversity. Students from a host of social, geographical, and economic backgrounds have a rare opportunity to intermingle and learn from each other and from experts online. This makes it easier to overcome obstacles such as being a single parent and trying to raise kids while also working and pursuing an education.
