There are a lot of successful businesses that make use of advertisements to engage and reach new customers. But these days online advertising can be irritating to people using the internet to either visit social media sites or study online. About 91% of people have reported that advertisements have been more intrusive than they were two years ago.

You will see why online consumers are becoming less accepting of ads across social media like Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and other sites. The steady increase in online ads that appear around most of our favorite websites and social media platforms is not enjoyed by online customers.

Another reason people hate ads so much is that they pop up and don’t allow the reader to see the content they came to search for. From research, 4 out of 5 people leave websites because of an ad pop-up or an ad video that automatically plays.

Lack of relevancy and bad targeting is one of the serious reasons consumers hate ads. Online ads are easy to set up, so don’t be surprised that a lack of data and them not targeting their ads through the right source could add to your frustration.

Only a small percentage of participants from a study thought that ads had importance. More research shows that about 70% of marketers fail to target consumers with important data, and they stress over half of digital video ads that lack the data and tools to measure properly digital video campaigns.

The placement of ads on the internet annoys online customers by interfering with the online content. This makes the content hard to read. More than 30 percent of Internet users state they would seriously avoid websites if their online ads disturb them and do not let them view the actual web material.
