Best 2022 Super Bowl Ads

The Super Bowl is one of the most watched sporting events in the world, and for many companies, it is also one of the most important nights for advertising. Every year, businesses compete for the chance to air their commercials during the game, and the best ads are often the ones that are the most creative and memorable.

Some of the best Super Bowl ads from recent years include Budweiser’s “whassup” commercial from 1999, Apple’s “1984” ad from 1984, and Volkswagen’s “The Force” ad from 2011.

Here’s a selection of the best Super Bowl ads of 2022:

Toyota: The Joneses

In “The Joneses,” Tommy Lee Jones (Men in Black), Leslie Jones (SNL), and Rashida Jones (Parks and Recreation) race one another while driving three very different 2022 Toyota Tundras. The adventure takes them from desert roads to snowy mountaintops. In the end, even, Nick Jonas joins them.

FTX: Don’t Miss Out

Larry David made his commercial debut in a Super Bowl ad for FTX Trading Limited. The comedian and creator of Seinfeld and Curb Your Enthusiasm is what the company calls an anti-sponsor, as David brings his own skepticism about crypto into the various characters he plays in the video above.

NBC: Stars Agree, NBC Is America’s No. 1 Network

NBC’s America’s number one network ad is “all” thanks to Ted Danson. The commercial features Kenan Thompson, Mariska Hargitay, Terry Crews, Kelly Clarkson and Christopher Meloni up in arms knowing their contributions across their respective programs.

Rocket Mortgage: Dream House with Anna Kendrick and Barbie

Anna Kendrick and Barbie come together to help Barbie to land her dream house with the help, of course, of Rocket Mortgage. The commercial introduced characters like Better Offer Carl, Cash Offer Skipper and House Flipper to throw a wrench in Barbie’s plans. Luckily, in the end, Barbie gets her dream home before He-Man and Skeletor take the scene.

T-Mobile: Miley Cyrus Sings a Song for 5G Phones

Miley Cyrus is back at it again with another musical moment. This year, as part of T-Mobile’s Super Bowl ad she created a song and full music video! The lyrics are equally catchy but also informative about what phones can do for you called “Doing It For The Phones” telling users about some features they might not know existed on their phone provider.

Uber Eats: Uber Don’t Eats

When it comes to the Uber Eats delivery, many people had trouble understanding what was or wasn’t food. When Jennifer Coolidge misunderstood her Uber Eats delivery and had trouble deciphering what was or wasn’t classified as food, Gwyneth Paltrow took a bite from Goop’s famous candle. In another scene Trevor Noah is chugging dish soap while on camera for his segment at home with the award winning chef Gordon Ramsay. The point here is not to make fun of these celebrities but rather show how mistakes happen even without intentionality behind them-and the ad does exactly that by showcasing four examples where people got things wrong despite trying very hard not to.

Squarespace: Sally’s Seashells

Zendaya stars as a seashell seller named Sally who Shell-Shill business booms with the help of Squarespace. Say that five times fast! Outkast rapper and actor André 3000 narrates this tongue twisting spot.

Super Bowl ads are a big deal. They’re expensive, often funny, and always creative. Advertisers pull out all the stops to make sure their commercial is the one that people remember long after the game is over.
