Ad Hoax or Reality: Peanut Butter and Pickle Twinkies?

Looking for the next great taste sensation that would sweep the nation off its feet? We’ve got America’s snack food engineers on the job! They have plenty of experience when it comes to experimenting with unique flavors. You’ve got to be willing to take a chance when you want to find the best edge to make a spot on the shelves of stores and into the homes of consumers.

What Do You Think About the Tastemakers at Hostess?

A lot of people feel the tastemakers are going too far. But others believe Hostess offers perfect snack food offerings, such as delicious Ding Dongs and Twinkies. You can’t go wrong! They have people talking quite a bit, but they’ve been teasing a very weird flavor recently on Twitter – peanut butter and pickle Twinkies.

Presently, there is no real indication about if they are planning to make such a concoction for real. This could be like a way they want to mockup a product idea to test the interests of their clients. However, due to the odd flavor combo of the peanut butter and pickle Twinkies, we hope it will forever remain an ad.

If we hope they are trying to know if people want pickles and peanut butter in their Twinkies, Twitter folks did not waste any time letting them know their desires towards this concoction.

The answer they got from Twitter followers was a robust incredibly firm resounding NO! It seems like the world does not want peanut butter and pickle Twinkies. But if it was just for fun or an ad to get more attention, they have not given us that information yet.

Who knows, maybe their social media folks are still being cracked up by the replies they got on Twitter after posting a photo of what it would look like.

As no one is sure what their game is, we might just have to walk past this as we go shopping at the grocery store,  because we doubt anyone would enjoy them.

But as of right now, the Hostess spokesperson revealed during The Today Show that it was not real.

She also tweeted with the photo with a caption “Only the real ones know about these.” This got a negative social media reaction, but a significant part of those who reacted said it sounded quite nice.

We all know Hostess trolls the Internet most times. Their goal is to play mind games to tease customers into thinking about their brands and products. No one was okay with this combination, but it did get a lot of media attention, so it worked.
